As Viridor's Director of Engineering, Stephen was responsible for setting the engineering performance specification, and oversight of the EPC contract negotiations. Stephen set up Viridor's Major Project Governance systems and structures to support the successful and timely completion of this project. Stephen led the team that implemented client side delivery of planning and permit obligations, grid and other utility connections.

Energy from Waste

SUMMARY

Exeter energy from waste plant is a 4MW power plant running on 60,000 tpa of post recycled residual waste. It incorporates an oscillating kiln, with a water tube boiler running at 45bar/400C, supplied by EPC contractor TIRU SA. FGT treatment is by lime and activated carbon injection.
This £47M capital investment was built on the back of Viridor's successful bid for the Devon Waste residual waste contract.
